We are constantly being told right now that life should not feel normal.

Well for a wrestling fan, nothing summed this up more than over this past weekend with WrestleMania 36.

Billed as being too big for one night, this wasn’t your standard WrestleMania. Not just because it took place over two nights for the first time.

No, because the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic saw it held in an empty WWE Performance Centre.

Despite the clearly surreal circumstances, the wrestlers involved both nights did their upmost to put on an entertaining show for those watching at home.

We saw some attempted innovation at John Morrison, Jimmy Uso and Kofi Kingston pulled out the stops in a ladder match. Kevin Owens put his body on the line as he went to new lengths to defeat Seth Rollins.

The first NXT match in WrestleMania history produced the best in-ring action of the weekend between Charlotte and Rhea Ripley.

Going in to WrestleMania, we didn’t know what to expect from both the Boneyard Match and The Firefly Funhouse matches. What we got is arguably the two most marmite style productions WWE has ever produced.

Plus, we got a moment UK wrestling fans have waited a lifetime for, as Drew McIntyre vanquished Brock Lesnar to become WWE Champion.

Whilst it won’t be a Mania that live long in the memory, there was still plenty of talking points. Steven and his panel attempt to dissect those in this unique WrestleMania 36 Review.
