The return of the NWA to weekly TV certainly has got people talking.

Recent controversies aside, NWA Power has been praised by fans for its old school throwback presentation.

The show has done a great job of utilising renowned and fresh talent in unison to create a product like no other.

Whilst names like Nick Aldis and Colt Cabana are the more household names to most fans, there is one star in particular who has shone bright thus far.

Ricky Starks is certainly taking advantage of the chance he’s been presented. Having been unsuccessful on a number of attempts to make it to the WWE, Starks has grafted his ways through the independents.

The work he has put in is clear, as he displays a number of strengths in his game. One of these is his promo work, which impressed Aldis in particular.

So much so that the NWA World Champion went to the bat for Starks, and played a big role in his arrival at the promotion.

In the early weeks of Power, Starks has adjusted himself nicely to the big stage. He doesn’t look out of place either, and has stood toe-to-toe with the best on the roster.

His feud with the former Damien Sandow Aron Stevens has been a pick from Power, and he appears to be next in line for the National Title.

Here, Starks took time to speak to Scott on his career to-date. They talk about his rejection from WWE, his future plans beyond NWA and his offical contract status with the promotion.
