It’s been over 10 years since Nick Aldis first graced our screens in a professional wrestling capacity.

In that short time frame, it’s far to say he has done more than he could have ever dreamed of.

Having started training at the age of 16, wrestling wasn’t the first thing to bring Aldis to the UK public’s attention.

He briefly appeared in the reboot series of Gladiators as Oblivion before making the move to the States to sign for TNA.

Known there as Magnus, he managed to build himself a solid CV that made him a household name across the wrestling scene.

His early days in TNA show him become part of the British Invasion stable with countrymen Doug Williams and Rob Terry.

Having cemented himself as a solid tag team wrestler during that period, it wouldn’t be long before a push came for Nick Aldis.

A team and feud with Samoa Joe lay the foundations for selection into the Main Event Mafia stable with the likes of Sting and Kurt Angle. It wouldn’t be long after that that Aldis would make history, becoming the first British World Heavyweight Champion.

In the present day, it is fair to say that Aldis continues to make history. The National Treasure is leading the charge for the revival of the NWA brand as their champion.

With a new weekly show in the form of NWA Power, the Brit is aiming to play a pivotal role in reviving the old school style of wrestling.

On the eve of the Power debut, Nick spoke to our own Ross Mcleod about the show and why people shouldn’t compare it to other products.

He also talks his TNA run as well as who he’d like to face from the UK scene.
