In Ireland, he’s not as the Import Killer. Elsewhere in the UK, they call him to Killer Import.
They say in a game of cards, you can never bet against an Ace. Well you can apply similar logic with wrestling when it comes to the Irish Ace Jordan Devlin.
Born and bred in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, its fair to say that Devlin has had a phenomenal last three years.
He first broke out into the mainstream at the beginning of 2017 when he competed and impressed in the first WWE United Kingdon Championship tournament.
It should be no surprise to see Devlin do well in that tournament. Schooled since the age of 12 under the eye of Finn Balor and Paul Tracey, many see great similarities between Jordan and the former of his two trainers.
Since the UK tournament, Devlin has became a mainstay of the UK and Irish independent scene. His cemented his legacy in his home nation by becoming the first ever OTT Champion.
Devlin is also a regular in the likes of ICW and Progress, the latter of which he earned his Killer Import moniker.
The Irishman has also established himself as one of the top names in NXT UK. It was in that brand where he was able to test himself against his mentor at Takeover: Blackpool.
Now, he speaks to Steven about his journey from unknown to household name and how he got on the radar of NXT UK. He also discusses his feud with WALTER across the UK and if he sees AEW Dynamite on ITV Hub as competition to the WWE British product.
