Across the UK, there are several top prospects beginning to make a name for themselves in wrestling.

One of which is Daz Black, who certainly tops in the hard graft.

Based in the Lake District, Black travels hundreds of miles each week to train the Premier British Wrestling Academy in Glasgow.

Given the quality of graduates to have come from the school which includes current NXT UK stars Kenny Williams and Kay Lee Ray, its no surprise Daz choose quality over ease.

In his early days in the industry, Black has most certainly caught in the eye. Earlier this year, he put on a match of the year candidate with ICW World Champion Stevie Boy at Pro Wrestling Scotland.

Then, in the week preluding this interview, he received praise online from AEW star Kip Sabian and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay.

Given these two stars placing in the industry, this was a massive boost for Daz, and something he is incredibly humble about.

Indeed, 2019 has been a breakout year for Daz Black. Not only was it topped off with those endorsements, but he also made his debut in ICW at Fear and Loathing.

As we move in 2020, Ross spoke to Daz about the long journey he makes to train and wrestle, his mentors and trainers Kid Fite and TJ Rage, plus his goals going forward.
