It’s far to say 2019 has been an eventful year in wrestling.

For all the talk of dips in ratings and at times, a drop in quality, the last 12 months have seen a lot of great action in the sport.

It all kicked off with an end of an era over in Japan. We saw The Elite move on to pastures new with All Elite Wrestling, with Wrestle Kingdom this year perfectly highlighting this shift.

Speaking of AEW, so far they’ve done what they set out to do. They have presented themselves as the alternative wrestling fans worldwide have craved. From Double or Nothing to All Out, there is plenty for fans of the company to look forward to moving out from 2019.

One of which is their Dynamite weekly product – one half of a stacked Wednesday night. 2019 saw the ignition of a new battle for ratings in wrestling.

Alongside Dynamite is an expanded NXT program, which continues to stand out as the best wrestle centric show in WWE’s portfolio.

Indeed, the Black and Gold brand has went from strength to strength this year. The highlight of which was their performance over Survivor Series weekend, as they dominated both RAW and SmackDown.

But for all their faults, WWE has done a lot right this year. Two particular highlights have to be KofiMania and The Fiend.

One thing for sure, so much went on in 2019. On this final podcast of the year, Steven and his panel give their top moments of the last 12 months.
